Apology21/5/9 Further to below, my PC has been away being serviced and as a result I have lost the program that I used to do all the publishing. I have a new program, that will require some learning, but provide a fresh look. There are some price changes happening on Still Spirits essences, as well as some other items such as SAF yeasts, so prices on the site may not be current. Apology 2/4/9 Hi, sorry the site hasn't really been updated for some time as we have been constantly busy serving customers in-store, as well as packaging our various high quality products to keep up with increased demand. I also had a glitch with my web publishing software and as a result was looking extremely bare. What's worse, is we have been that busy, I have not had time to make beer for myself, so the Government is making a great deal out of me in excise. Also, most prices should still be up to date, however one of my Suppliers has announced that some prices will change without prior warning to us. That is how volatile the market is as a result of the current financial situation worldwide, and the weaker Australian Dollar. Company ProfileOur store has been catering to Homebrewers for nearly 20 years, and has been at this location in all this time. In this time, the store has sold a wide range of Giftware, as well as still catering for Beermakers, Spiritmakers, and Winemakers. We have over 100 Beer kits to choose from to help create that Special Recipe, from Black Rock, Brewcraft, Morgans, Muntons, Thomas Coopers, and much more. We also have a wide range of Dextrose/Malt mixtures, designed to help make your creation easy, as well as assorted hops and Yeasts. We have a large range of Spirit Essences from Essencia, Prestige, Still Spirit, Willard's and more, plus carbons, yeasts, and Bourbon Chips. As a result of the recent re-building of Charlestown Square, we have had to take a great deal of focus away from Giftware. It is less than 8% of our business, yet currently occupies 50% of our floor space. This is why we don't have all our items listed/updated on the website. Wine kits and ingredients make up less than 2% of our business, and again they may not be currently up to date as a result of distribution changes, and re=packaging. Our store is known as "Beer n Gear", "Charlestown Homebrew", and "Home Brew Inn". All are registered trade names of our store. We took over the business from John Cross late this year, and we are a family based business. Since taking over in October 2006, we have contributed some prizes as a Donation to local based Schools/charities such as St Josephs Primary School Charlestown and Gateshead Primary School.
